Hello!
I have wanted to start a research blog for a long time. I find it difficult to think of myself as a researcher because I am not (yet?) pursuing a PhD. This path wasn't introduced to us during my design studies; I discovered it while working professionally in video game development. As a game UX designer, I found a lack of French-language or specialized literature on game-specific UX design, which led me to explore academic research on the subject. Nevertheless, during my academic journey, I had the opportunity to write a thesis on emotion in digital design and video game preservation.
As mentioned, I am not currently pursuing a PhD, but I am committed to analyzing the video game industry with the necessary academic rigor. My areas of expertise include game design, the video game economy, game history, narrative design, and production methodologies. I hope my posts will live up to the ambitions of this project.
When time permits, I also plan to share my research methodologies so that other professionals and students can use them as a resource.
I look forward to connecting with you !
